| Blodgett Ties WMT Course Record On July 5, Casey Blodgett carded a 63, tying the course record set in 1970 by former club pro Tim Sweborg. In the foursome were Josh Knowles, Austin Matheny, and Julian Taylor. The feat was all the more remarkable, considering that Casey bogeyed number seventeen after he pulled his drive into the trees. The round consisted of the one bogey, seven pars, eight birdies, and an eagle. Casey, who grew up in Wee-Ma-Tuk, has played golf since the age of ten. He is a graduate of Cuba High School, Spoon River College, and Western Illinois University. Casey was Fulton County champion in 2008. He is employed by the Mason County Sheriff's Department. |
